Supervisor: Dr. Andrea Ardizzoni

Co-supervisor: Prof. Eva Pericolini

Natalia Pedretti is currently a PhD student at the Department of Surgical, Medical, Dental and Morphological Sciences (CHIMOMO) at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where she works on the DORIAN project, investigating the molecular mechanisms of tolerance breakdown in vulvovaginal candidiasis. She holds a Master’s Degree in Experimental and Applied Biology, with a specialization in Health Protection and Control, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, both awarded by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Throughout her academic and professional career, she has gained significant experience in microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, and host-pathogen interactions through various research fellowships and laboratory internships. In addition to her research activities, she serves as a subject expert in Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
