ADRIAN: A microbiota-baseD stRategy agaInst vAginal iNfections
ADRIAN is a project funded by FAR Mission Oriented 2022 UNIMORE, FOMO Line.
By ADRIAN project we aim to provide data on the role played by the microbiota colonizing the vaginal epithelium in counteracting potentially pathogenic microorganisms, such as Candida.
We will analyze the capacity of the 4 most common lactobacilli that colonize the vaginal tract of heahtly women, Lactobacillus iners, Lactobacillus gasseri, Lactobacillus jensenii and Lactobacillus crispatus, to counteract vulvovaginal candidiasis.
